Counseling center
Counseling Center Brochure [pdf]
Clinica Msr. Oscar A. Romero is in active collaboration with various accredited graduate and undergraduate Social Work programs located in Southern California. The training program focuses on providing graduate and undergraduate students an opportunity to apply learned theory and skills to clients of the Counseling Center. Students receive individual and group field instruction with an emphasis on the Counseling Center's philosophy of providing quality and culturally sensitive counseling services. Social work students are also exposed to community organization, grant writing, advocacy, and community outreach.
Alcohol and Drug Counselor Internship Program
Clinica Msr. Oscar A. Romero is in active collaboration with drug and alcohol counseling programs in Southern California in order to train and certify candidates for the drug and alcohol state counselor certification. Interns shadow existing drug and alcohol counselors in performing group counseling, drug testing, and individual substance abuse counseling.
Counseling Center Volunteer Program
Our volunteer program is composed of clinical and non-clinical individuals who strive to support Clinica Romero's vision by rendering much needed counseling services to our clientele, clinical wisdom to our students, and expertise regarding grants and program development.
Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Program [pdf]
Individualized treatment plans take into account a client’s medical, psychosocial, and educational background for a six-month treatment program for alcohol and drug use.
